3. Edit your Router

If you want to connect every device in your network to connect thru VPN, edit your router and set a static IP address on the VPNKITTEN.

In this example a UniFi USG Router is used. Basically, every router could be used if the gateway/router address in the DHCP settings could be edited.

1. Set Static IP adress VPNKITTEN

Press the blue bar.

Then press DHCP at the bottom.

2. Configure the Kitten

Press Edit to go to the IP-adress settings

Set DHCP Configuration to Static.

Don’t save yet!

If your de default gateway is: 10.0.12.1, set the IP address to a free IP in the same subnet. Make sure it is not in use by another device. In this example 10.0.11.254 is set.

Note: Make sure the subnet is right. If it’s not in the same subnet the VPN Kitten is inaccessible !!

Press save

3. Check ip

As you can see the VPN Gateway address is now static 10.0.11.254

Note: your subnet is probably different (192.168.1.X or 192.168.178.X or whatever..)

4. Set Router gateway address

Go to your router network settings.

Set DHCP Gateway address manual to VPNKITTEN, in the example 10.0.11.254

Note: Offcourse set the ip to your VPNKITTEN ipaddress!
